Linear Motion Comparison 220331 876 X 493 (16 9)

Linear motion can be achieved using different types of drive systems. Depending on the requirements of the application different drive systems can be beneficial for your machine. This is mostly determined by desired velocity, acceleration, accuracy and cost.

In this webinar we will focus primarily on four types of drive systems; linear motors, rack and pinion, timing belts and ball screws. We will elaborate on the characteristics of each system and discuss their pro and cons. We will also show the differences between these systems and the advantages of one system over another. In this comparison we will focus not only on application parameters, but also on all other topics that you will encounter when using one of these systems.

Below video shows the summary of the differences between four drive systems.
